Ophiopogon Japonicus ‘Nanus’, commonly called dwarf mondo grass, very low growing ornamental grass with glossy dark foliage. These are ideal for use as turf, with a recommended spacing of 2-4 inches apart.
They are very hardy. Can tolerate drought well onces established. They can also handle the rainy seasons.
Maintaining their evergreen appearance throughout winter, you can trim them back in the fall, and they will spread out into 6-8 inch mounds
