100 Ogallala Strawberry Bare Roots – Fragaria × ananassa
The Ogallala strawberry is a popular, hardy, everbearing variety known for its sweet, wild strawberry flavor and suitability for cold climates. It produces a continuous harvest of firm, plump, bright red berries from late spring to mid-fall, making it ideal for home gardens or containers. The 'Ogallala' variety is particularly vigorous, winter-hardy, and drought-tolerant, performing well in northern states and USDA Hardiness Zones 3-9. The plants grow to about 6-12 inches high with a spreading habit via runners. They prefer a location with full sun and moist, well-drained, fertile soil.
